Derek Groves

For the last fifteen years, Groves has been a distinguished leader in the nonprofit industry, driving organizational missions forward through operational excellence and philanthropic initiatives. He has held significant positions throughout his career, including serving as the President of a Healthcare Foundation operating in various states, as the Chief Operating Officer of a University Foundation that also served an academic medical center, and as the Senior Vice President of a health-based nonprofit. His outstanding work was featured in Advancing Philanthropy, a global strategy magazine focusing on the latest trends in the nonprofit sector.

Groves is deeply passionate about executive leadership, and his Ph.D. research centered on how employees perceive executive nonprofit leaders' influence. In addition to his Ph.D., he holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management, which focuses on how to effect positive change within organizations and communities.
