Christopher A. Jones

Christopher A. Jones, MD, MBA, HMDC, FAAHPM is an Associate Professor and the Clinical Vice Chief for Palliative Care for Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina and contractor for Teleios Consulting Group. 

After finishing medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, he trained in General Internal Medicine at Brown University and completed fellowships in Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) at Duke University.   

His interest in the business of medicine, specifically within HPM, led him to complete a Master of Business Administration degree at East Carolina University.  Dr. Jones is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Palliative Medicine and has co-authored more than sixty academic papers.  He consults nationally, making billing and coding accessible and hopefully interesting for providers in all of medicine’s specialties.
