Annette Kiser

She is a nationally recognized expert in compliance and quality in the Hospice and Palliative Care community with more than 38 years of experience.  Annette provides subject matter specialty coaching, regulatory assistance, and education to organizations across the country.  She partners with them to implement quality and compliance best practices, address compliance needs, and navigate the challenges of federal and state audits and surveys. 

After a short stint as a registered nurse in a hospital, Annette dedicated over twenty years to community-based nonprofit Hospices as a nursing leader and quality and compliance expert.  She worked more than six years with a Hospice and Palliative Care member association providing regulatory and quality support to organizations across North Carolina and South Carolina. 

Annette serves as a Technical Strategic Advisor and as co-chair of the Quality Improvement and Regulatory and Compliance Forum for National Partnership for Healthcare & Hospice Innovation, a national member association for nonprofit organizations.  She represents all Hospices on the Partnership for Quality Measurement Post-Acute Care/Long-Term Care Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review Committee for input into quality measure development. 

Annette is certified as a nurse executive and in healthcare compliance.  As a member of the Palmetto GBA Hospice Coalition for more than fifteen years, she works collaboratively with the Medicare Administrative Contractor to address billing, reimbursement, and medical review issues.  She works with other MACs to advocate for the needs of Hospice and Palliative Care providers and those they serve.
